I’m honoured to have endorsements from every single London borough - north, south, east, and west.
Together, we can end the housing crisis and tackle the epidemic of male violence against women and girls.
My parents came to Britain in 1991, seeking refuge after a journey of repeated displacements. They had fled political persecution in Iran and, like so many others, knew that in London they would find their safe haven. It was here where they found shelter and peace, where I was lucky enough to be born.
As a life-long Londoner, raised in a council flat in Islington, I have seen the beauty and opportunities our great city has to offer with my own eyes. When our potential is unleashed, nothing stands in our way as Londoners. But after 13 years of Conservative government, too many of us still face hardship and uncertainty.
It’s why I put myself forward and, in 2022, was elected a councillor in Hammersmith and Fulham, doing everything in my power to advocate for residents ever since. Today, with a Mayor of London committed to improving the lives of all Londoners and unlocking our promise, we are once again a city where social housing is growing and children can expect to be fed in school.
But there is more work to be done, and the people of London are relying on us. As your London-wide Assembly Member, I would commit my drive, energy, and stamina in support of this project – and it’s why I’m asking for your vote.
